SUKIYAKI ASAI

Greetings

We are delighted to announce the opening of Sukiyaki restaurant
“Asai” in Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

There is a Zen expression in Japanese, “Asai no Seifu”,
which literally translates to “receiving the refreshing breeze.”
Just as a boat laden with cargo feels heavy and sluggish
but becomes light and nimble once the cargo is unloaded,
allowing a fresh breeze to blow into one’s heart.
In Zen philosophy, this represents the practice of clearing away
mental clutter and achieving a sense of clarity and lightness,
allowing for a refreshing breeze of insight and tranquility to flow through one’s being.

Our restaurant was named “Asai” with the hope that
our guests would experience such feelings.
We hope that through “Asai”, we can connect with
the spirit of Japanese hospitality and extend invitations to many.

Our Commitment

One of our commitments at Asai is our dedication to “Wagyu”,
or Japanese beef, which is deeply rooted in Japanese culture.
We proudly serve Omi beef from “Sakaeya,”
a renowned butcher shop led by the meat professional Mr. Yoshinobu Niiho.
Omi beef, aged using his unique method,
boasts a rich flavor that intensifies with every bite,
offering a truly delightful dining experience.
Paired with seasonal fresh vegetables and fluffy whipped eggs,
our Sukiyaki offers a harmonious blend of flavors
that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Our team comprises staffs, including those trained in
prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant, as well as a chef
who has honed his craft at two-star restaurant.
Together, we work to uphold the traditions and
flavors of the renowned establishment,
delivering authentic Sukiyaki to our guests.

Our Sukiyaki is prepared right in front of the guests by the staffs,
ensuring an immersive dining experience where
the sizzle and aroma can be witnessed firsthand.
We invite our guests to indulge in the luxury of Sukiyaki
while experiencing the essence of Japanese culinary culture.
